Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Bordeaux shine at the Wanderlust Reader Travel Awards
Readers of British travel magazine Wanderlust awarded Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Bordeaux with two silver medals at the 22nd Wanderlust Travel Awards, one of the UK's greatest tourism awards ceremonies, on November 7, at the British Museum in London.
Nouvelle-Aquitaine was voted second most attractive European region in the "Most desirable European region 2023" category, just after the Greek islands and before Andalusia. Bordeaux achieved the same ranking in the "Most desirable European city" category.
These prestigious awards acknowledge the work carried out in recent years by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Tourism Board and its partners on the British market.
The Wanderlust Travel Awards are based on the votes of over 91,000 participants, who elect their favorite destinations from 20 categories, yearly. The awards ceremony took place alongside the World Travel Market (WTM), the world's largest travel trade show.
