"Nouvelle-Aquitaine, nouvelles sensations", the new communication campaign by Nouvelle-Aquitaine

13 March 2023

The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Tourist Board launched a national and international TV campaign on February 6th as part of Nouvelle-Aquitaine's tourism relaunch.

It's a first for the Regional Tourist Board and a golden opportunity to be seen on the most-watched channels at a key decision-making time for nearby European (Germany, Netherlands and Belgium) and French holidaymakers.

Nouvelle-Aquitaine "seen on screen"

The MStream agency created a short 20 second TV ad and long 1 min 45 commercial for the “Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Nouvelles sensations” campaign. As part of our policy to promote sustainable tourism, the Regional Tourist Board wanted to produce an inclusive ad focusing on people and the emotions inspired by the wonderful landscapes and locals. The ad puts the spotlight on:

  • year-round tourism
  • green outdoor activities: cycling, hiking, surfing
  • our signature scenery: unspoilt coast, vineyards, oyster huts, beautiful villages, mountain lake

with a promise that tourists can experience something new and different in Nouvelle-Aquitaine as it's such a multi-facetted, vibrant and easy-to-reach region: "travels here aren't for the telling, they're for living".

Media campaign

The first ads were broadcast for 2 weeks in 3 European countries: Germany (on the national Vox and Ntv channels), Belgium (VTM) and the Netherlands (RTL), our main overseas markets.

They will be broadcast from March 13th to April 30th in France on TF1 and the France TV group's channels.

Digital activations on social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube) and partner companies will appear alongside the TV campaign from April 15th to 30th.

A campaign made possible by European funds

One-off European funding (REACT-EU*) has helped the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Tourist Board to fund this large-scale campaign with the support of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Regional Council.

*REACT-EU (Recovery Assistance for Cohesion and Territories of Europe) is a European funding project to help sustainable tourism recover in Europe following the pandemic.
