DAY 1 : La Flotte and Ars-en-Ré (Ile de Ré)

  • Morning: visit La Flotte, formerly a fishing village, and stroll along the port and meet at the market dating from the Middle Ages to taste local products (fish, shellfish and crustaceans).
  • Afternoon: visit Ars-en-Ré, with its small white houses with green shutters, its alleys paved with flowers of hollyhocks. The church is remarkable for its black and white bell tower, used as a landmark by sailors.

DAY 2 : Mornac-sur-Seudre

  • Morning: visit Mornac-sur-Seudre in the heart of the marshes. Charming medieval halls, Romanesque church, traditional houses painted in white and multicoloured huts.
  • Afternoon: From the port of Mornac, you can take a kayak, paddleboard or river cruise along the channels to discover the Seudre estuary, the marshes and the surrounding fauna and flora. 
  • Spend the evening around an éclade de moules, a special method for cooking mussels under a fire made of pine needles.

DAY 3 : Talmont-sur-Gironde

  • Morning: on the banks of the Gironde estuary, nestled on its promontory, walk through the cobbled streets of Talmont-sur-Gironde, a typical village full of charm. Lose yourself in the flower-filled alleys.
  • Afternoon: to Royan, the seaside resort with its 1950s architecture.
