Innovative and adaptable business tourism
With four congress sites, of which three are in the city centre, Biarritz is a leading destination for business tourism in France. The sector’s stakeholders are constantly innovating, diversifying their services, and creating new incoming agencies. A campus and business incubator will also be opening in Biarritz.
- Immersive tour of event venues thanks to a 3D model of the city’s 4 congress centres, exhibitions and shows organised by Biarritz Tourisme (le Bellevue, le Casino Municipal, la Gare du Midi and la Halle d’Iraty), to better promote the city’s business tourism offer. Biarritz Tourisme also has a "phygital" offer to participate in remote and live events.
- Ekko eco-responsible seminars with the “Biarritz for Events” DMC, which offers creative activities in connection with nature around 4 themes: the ocean, forest, mountains, and well-being.
- The creation of Bees, a tourism/congress economic interest group born from the grouping of 3 agencies specialising in events (Biarritz For Events, Evenida and Esprit Basque) and which is a "facilitator" in the organisation of congresses with a clear commitment to sustainable tourism.
- Le Connecteur, a new generation campus will be opening in Biarritz in June of 2021 and aims to boost innovation in the region. This 8,300 sq. metre (89.3340 sq. foot) business incubator will offer more than 400 workstations, an auditorium, meeting areas, sports and yoga room, restaurant, bar, etc.
